WHEN TEARS BROKE

We've once had our hearts in burning sulphur.

We've rubbed our hands quickly to light fire.

We've just said so many words sometimes, 

only about that need to God

And it's like they don't burn on the altar.

Several times, we reached out to our dreams 

but our hands were shortened.

Life seemed shorter by the edginess of pains

And so day by day, we thought we could never journey 

successfully to the last gasp of the year.

We felt our throats closing up as we watched 

our full-fledged tears 

break us down 

into many pieces.

Just us and our closets.

It always looked like hell

Until we began to get some relaxing feels, 

do you know?

Do you know how it feels like having a dream come 

true or prayer answered in a special way?

That's the warmth you get in the heart!

That's when tears break,

those tears that have been breaking us down, 

begin to break themselves. 

Just seeing the forthcoming year close in 

to shake us alive with new hopes and chance 

is spirit-rekindling.

When the heart-wrenching tears broke, 

we still shed, but fresh ones;

They are tears of joy!
